About Us

After giving birth to my daughter in late 2016, and having an agonising breastfeeding journey, I finally swapped to bottle feeding (like so many other parents out there). At the time we lived in the country, and were a single car (and baby) family, which meant that if I needed to do anything for the day, I would need to drive my partner to work and back just so I could use the car.
Pronto Bottle
To do this I needed militant planning to ensure I had prepared enough pre-sterilised bottles, pre-sterilised water, packed enough formula, along with wipes, nappies, spare clothes, etc for the entire trip. As an ex project manager, but new found minimalist, I also wanted to ensure I didn't over pack which would mean lugging around too many items or too much weight, so I always tried to pack only what was essential.

After getting up at 5am, preparing everything needed for the trip, we'd drive the hour long journey to have my partner at work by 7am, where I would usually stop to prepare a bottle, feed our daughter in the back of the car and change her nappy, before heading off to do whatever errands I needed to do for the day. I'd drive the hour to get back home, to run through the bottle sterilisation and preparation process again, before I would drive back to my partners work to pick them up by 5pm and then drive an hour home again.

As you can imagine, this process wore thin pretty quickly, and after a number of extremely painful moments of running out of bottles, on this almost daily journey (try driving 45 minutes with a hungry screaming baby in the back of the car), I  decided I had to solve this problem!
Pronto Bottle
Drawing on my previous Entrepreneurship & Innovation studies, I went out and interviewed other parents to discover the real problem they were experiencing. Thus, Pronto was born.
